A boost for the Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg as it reopens for business

Nominations for the German Design Award and the International Hotel & Property Award

The Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg, which is located in the North of Hamburg, has been open to guests once more since 15 May. The hotel is a particularly popular destination thanks to an idyllic setting at the very heart of nature. It also boasts its own 27-hole golf course and now also features a resplendent new look following extensive renovation works that were carried out between April 2019 and February 2020.

“We have made thorough preparations for the reopening by putting comprehensive hygiene measures in place,” said Michael Fritz, General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests back to the beautiful surroundings of Alster Valley. In the interests of safety, however, certain temporary restrictions will apply to the services we are able to offer. Over the course of the past year, we have invested considerable sums in a complete modernisation of the country manor in which our hotel is housed. Together with our partners and architects, we are therefore especially delighted to have received nominations for both the German Design Award and the International Hotel & Property Award.”

The German Design Council has put the Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg forward for a prize in the “Excellent Architecture – Interior Architecture” category of the 2021 German Design Award. The hotel has also been shortlisted in two categories of the 2020 International Hotel & Property Award.

131 rooms and suites, the restaurant, the lobby, the bar and the spa area have all undergone a total refit to create individual design outcomes. The Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg is a venue where rustic elegance merges with a truly contemporary ambience. The Hamburg-based architectural firm SWP and the interior design company meierei from Munich were engaged to plan and execute the construction works.

The hotel’s golf course is one of the most attractive and best laid-out courses anywhere in northern Germany and offers appropriate challenges for players of all abilities. The Bistro 19 will again be on hand to serve up a range of tasty dishes which are prepared using regional produce. The Lemsahler Restaurant and the hotel’s spa, health and beauty and gym facilities will not be available initially.
