Germany’s Best Employers
Deutsche Hospitality achieves top placement in the Focus-Business employer rankings
Deutsche Hospitality is one of the best companies in the country to work for in 2020. The group has earned third place in the “Restaurants, Hotels and Tourism” category in this year’s Focus-Business “Germany’s Best Employers” Awards, its first top-three ranking within the sector.
“We are delighted to have been named the third best employer in our category for 2020 and are proud of all the great staff feedback which has made such a result possible,” said Matthias Heck, CFO and Labour Director, Deutsche Hospitality. “We are hoteliers with passion, and our associates are our success factor. We create the best prerequisites for the delivery of excellent service by adopting a market position as a strong employer which exudes international charisma.” In 2018 and 2019, Deutsche Hospitality’s worldwide activities secured the company eighth and twelfth places respectively. The outcome for 2020 thus represents a significant improvement.
The rankings for Germany’s best-rated employers were based on an empirical study carried out by the news magazine Focus-Business in conjunction with Germany’s biggest business networking site XING and the employer rating portal kununu.com. The evaluation of the 1,000 top employers in the country was informed by responses received from more than 140,000 employees. Deutsche Hospitality was adjudged to be Germany’s 58th best employer across all sectors. The current proportion of workers who would recommend their own employer was one of the key factors.
