Results of a major national employee survey: once again reveal that Steigenberger Hotels AG is one of Germany’s best employers

The company receives a “Germany’s Top Employer” award for the eighth year in succession

A company’s success stands and falls by the commitment of its employees, and this is something which is particularly true in the service sector. In turn, such commitment requires good staff management, and there is plenty of evidence of the importance Steigenberger Hotels AG attaches to this.

The best employers in the country have been identified in a joint survey carried out by the news magazine Focus in conjunction with Germany’s biggest business networking site XING, the leading employer rating portal Kununu and the statistics portal “statista”. Feedback was obtained in the form of responses from more than 100,000 employees from all hierarchical levels and age categories. Steigenberger Hotels AG achieved 2nd place amongst major companies in the category “Restaurants, Hotels, Entertainment, Fitness and Tourism”. In the overall listings (large and small companies), it was ranked fourth.

“We are proud of the trust our employees place in us,” said Matthias Heck, CFO and Director of Human Resources at Steigenberger Hotels AG. “The repeated winning of these awards shows that we are on the right road. We have been highly active over the past few months with a new umbrella brand, new agreements and new markets. None of this would have been possible without the passionate commitment our employees show every single day.”

Steigenberger Hotels AG is also celebrating an impressive eighth successive “Germany’s Top Employer” annual award from the Top Employer Institute in recognition of the extraordinarily effective staff-centred approach adopted by the company. The categories evaluated were talent strategy, human resources planning, on-boarding, training and development, performance management, management staff development, career and succession planning, compensation & benefits and corporate culture.
