Combining sustainability and the best service.
We motivate our guests to travel in a more environmentally friendly way. We will be outfitting our all our infrastructurally suitable leasehold and management hotels with e-charging stations by 2024. In addition, we intend to offer our guests special rates for local and long-distance transportation. For certain hotel brands, we would even like to offer free transportation on local public transport.
By 2024, we will implement circular economy in our internal structures and processes. At the same time, we are resolutely saving on non-renewable resources. By banning hard soaps and predominantly using large containers, we have already significantly reduced consumption in the area of guest cosmetics.
We use 12 tons less hard soap per year.
Every year we save 4 tons of plastic.
Since 2021, we have completely eliminated use of coffee-to-go cups in the EU.
We want to spoil our guests with ecological and socially responsible treats. That's why we already obtain certain products from certified sustainable production. We also assign priority to regional and seasonal foods for our employees and guests. By 2023, at least 30 percent of our dishes globally are to be vegan or vegetarian.
Our Green Meeting concept minimizes the ecological impact of an event – from planning to execution to departure. Avoidance, reduction and compensation measures complement each other. For example, our leasehold and management hotels in Germany and Austria already use electrical power solely from renewable energy sources. Our partner atmosfair also offsets all emissions caused by attending a meeting.
